Board of Management

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is incorporated under the Health Services Act 1988 by the Governor-in-Council, acting under Section 64A and Section 65 of the Health Services Act 1988. The incorporation came into effect on 1 October 1996.

The community members of the Board of Management have skills and qualifications to enable them to influence and provide strategic thinking and direction in order for the Chief Executive and staff to manage Beaufort and Skipton Health Service on a daily basis with due diligence.

The members of the Board are recommended to the Minister for Health and are appointed by the Governor in Council for a three-year term of office. Appointment to the Board is a voluntary position, with no remuneration provided.

We acknowledge the commitment of all members of the Board of Management who put in many, many hours of unpaid work so that we can be confident that this small rural health service will continue to deliver first-rate programs. Their guidance, input and dedication are much appreciated.
