Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a collection centre for St John of God Pathology.
Services are located in:
Beaufort just off the Western Highway on Havelock Street, Beaufort and in
Skipton just off the Glenelg Highway on Blake Street, Skipton
Pathology is where body tissue, blood and other bodily fluids are analysed to assist medical practitioners in identifying the cause and severity of disease, and to monitor treatment.
Sometimes having your blood taken can be a little upsetting or frightening for some people. Our Nurses are highly experienced and professional and will assist you as much as possible. Just let them know if you are experiencing any anxiety related to having a sample taken.
To make a Pathology appointment it is necessary to have a referral from your General Practitioner [GP].
What should I bring to my appointment?
Current Medicare card and concession card
Pathology services operate from:
Beaufort: Mon- Fri 8.00am - 1.00pm
Skipton: Wednesday from 9.00am
After your sample is taken, it will be collected and taken to St John of Gods for analysis and the results will be returned to your GP generally within 1-2 days.
