In an Emergency Please Call 000
The Beaufort Hospital is located just off the Western Highway on Havelock Street in Beaufort.
The Skipton Hospital is located in Blake Street in Skipton.
Urgent Care is consultation, treatment or intervention in a facility dedicated to the delivery of medical care outside of a regional hospital emergency department. It is usually unscheduled, on a walk-in basis. Urgent care centres are primarily used to treat patients who have an injury or illness that requires immediate care but is not serious enough to warrant a visit to a larger regional emergency department.
We have an 'Urgent Care Centre' at both Beaufort and Skipton Hospitals attended 24-hours-a-day by our nursing staff. The Department is not independently staffed and our nursing staff also manage the inpatients within the Hospital. Nursing staff are highly skilled with a number of nurses maintaining Advanced Cardiac Life Support accreditation.
If medical attention is required for a general condition, patients are encouraged to contact their GP during business hours. If you are concerned about a health issue outside of your local medical clinic’s hours, please contact the After Hours GP Helpline on 1800 022 222. This free phone service is operated by highly trained nurses who can decide if you need medical advice, need to speak to a local doctor, make an appointment for the following day, attend the hospital for immediate assessment, or call an ambulance.
